North East Property Surveyors are an established, fully qualified, accredited and truly independent Residential Building Surveyor covering the North East of England.

"North East property surveyors focus on providing professional and informative surveying products on residential properties including listed buildings. We offer a personal service to all of our clients by calling them 24 hours pre-survey to allow them to discuss any concerns they may have with the property. We also call them right after the survey to discuss any defects or issues found during the inspection. My primary role is helping clients to understand the property they are buying and to remove some of the associated uncertainty and stress."

You say the inspection is "full and thorough". How is that different?
  • We are the largest professional association representing independent specialist residential surveyors.

  • The RPSA is a not-for-profit organisation committed to raising standards in the residential surveying world.

  • Recommended by Government in their HOW TO BUY GUIDE published by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

  • RPSA is the survey source of choice for many high street banks, building societies and lenders.

We have recently had a survey carried out on our onward purchase in Jesmond on a victorian property. They found various damp issues which I did not see myself upon viewing the property. Without having this survey carried out we would have never known of this defect. The pre and post-survey calls were very helpful. We received the survey within 48 hours which was within the 5-day turn around time frame which was provided in the terms and conditions. Would certainly use again.

Unlike, for example, a traditional Homebuyers Report, which is more of a tick box exercise based on a partial inspection, as far as they are able, RPSA surveyors, amongst other things, will check the operation of every window, and every tap, lift the manhole covers and flush the toilets.

The surveyor uses a range tools and instruments to see and measure as much as is reasonably and safely possible.

You’re buying the whole house and so our job is to see and review as much of it as we can.
